Caezar at Cottiers, Glasgow
Following the critical acclaim of their debut album TIME, Caezar is set to be another success story. A string of sell-out concerts and top support slots has seen Caezar hailed as one of the most progressive live bands
to emerge onto the music scene. Listening to them is one thing – hearing them live is another and an experience not to be missed.
So, who are Caezar? After a reunion between two former members of Scots group, The Silencers, a new music project was born, resulting in the powerfully emotive debut album Time. JJ Gilmour and Joe Donnelly enjoyed great success during their individual stints with The Silencers, having toured with Simple Minds, David Bowie, U2 and The Pretenders, and have recently been invited by both Chrissie Hynde & Jim Kerr to open the show for them as Caezar. Joe and JJ never played together in The Silencers at the same time, but bonded instantly during an emotional week in Glasgow when all ex-Silencers performed together. The sell-out gig was in aid of guitarist,
Cha Burns who sadly passed away soon afterwards. Joe and JJ seized the opportunity and began writing together.
After the success of TIME their second album HOME is out now. The band recently launched the album to a loyal fanbase in their hometown of Glasgow.

Turntable Master Class with Vertere Acoustic's Touraj Moghaddam - Friday 16th and Saturday 17th August
The third in the Audio Exotics Turntable Masterclass series with the British Grand Master of record player design, will focus on:
1) Phono amplifier design and setup. With emphasis on Vertere's new flagship phono preamp
- the CALON Dual Mono Phono Preamplifier.
2) Tonearm design and setup. With emphasis on Vertere's new SG-ll Pathfinder Tonearm.
3) Turntable setup and tuning tips
4) Addressing issues with turntables and audio systems.
Audio Exotics will be hosting 1 session on Friday 16th Aug at 7pm and Saturday 17th Aug - at 11am and 3pm followed by an open house.
Touraj will be in attendance, for a personal consultation on your current turntable, phono preamp and cartridge setup.

Vertere Experience Day at Kantata Audio
Kantata Audio is delighted to announce its latest event which will be on Saturday 13th January 2024 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Shawsbridge, Belfast.
The event will feature Vertere Acoustics with their fabulous range of turntables and cables. Touraj Moghaddam, the CEO and designer of their products will be in attendance along with Mike Burn, the UK Sales Manager .
Touraj and Mike will be doing scheduled demos and presentations. In between will be an opportunity for informal music and to chat to Mike & Touraj about all things analogue. This is slightly more formal than past events, but anyone who has experienced Vertere at any of the UK shows will know that it is worthwhile.
Heavily featured will be the two new cartridges recently launched by Vertere - the XtraX (MC £5,800) and the Dark Sabre (MM £1,450).
The event is still at the planning stage, but there will be multiple rooms. Vertere is confirmed, so I though I'd get the date in your diaries.

Running the Groove with KJ West One
An evening dedicated to vinyl as we are joined by designer Touraj Moghaddam. A chance to experience something brand new from Vertere.
Join us on Thursday 26th October as we present the next event in the highly regarded 'Running the Groove' tour with Touraj Moghaddam, founder and head designer of Vertere Acoustics.
Touraj will join the KJ West One team to showcase some of his rare and interesting records using one of our high-end systems and his Vertere RG-1 turntable. As well as playing some unique pressings, Touraj will be able to discuss the design and engineering principles behind designs. A great opportunity to learn from one of the UK's great analogue designers.
This event will also be a chance to experience something new from Vertere for the very first time.
We plan to use a selection of reference level equipment for this evening. The set up will include the Vertere RG-1 Reference Groove record player with the Reference tonearm, Soulution amplification, RCM Audio's The Big Phono and WIlson Audio Chronosonic XVX speakers. We will use Vertere HB cabling throughout.
To keep the atmosphere comfortable and relaxed, spaces will be limited so don't delay in registering your place. We will be running two sessions for this event. One at 4pm and one at 6pm, please select the session you would like to attend.

Vertere Acoustics Open Day at Kantata Audio

Swiss distributor, Grammofile, has been invited to be part of the annual Verbier Classics Festival 2023 from Saturday night to Sunday night. Together with our local partners we will be playing records on their great audiophile system.
